Annie Segarra, a YouTuber and disability advocate, started the twitter trend after seeing and being frustrated by an old tweet by Ken Jennings. The tweet reads, “Nothing sadder than a hot person in a wheelchair.”
Really? Because I can think of a million things on the top of head that’s sadder than that. There’s nothing sad about being a hot disabled person.
The only thing that’s sad is the people who think this, who think that they can’t get us because we’re in a wheelchair, who think we’re asexual.
Sure, some people may have low self-esteem, but not everyone with a disability does.
I am pretty confident, with my body, mind, life and no one will ever take that away from me.
